3Lateral u saradnji sa Crytek-om nastupa 18. marta na GDC sajmu u San Francisku

Novosadski 3Lateral studio je posvećen dobrom dizajnu karaktera i tehničkoj inovaciji što je doprinelo da tokom poslednjih nekoliko godina razvije odličan radni odnos sa firmom koja je svoj identitet razvila upravo na tehničkim dostignućima. U pitanju je dobro poznati proizvodjač video igara i game engine-a, Crytek.

Crytek je 3Lateral-u poverio najvažniji aspekt karaktera, njegovo lice. Da stvar bude još važnija za Novosadski studio, ovaj zadatak je poveren na jednoj od prvih igara koje su izašle za „next generation“ igračke konzole, “Ryse: Son of Rome“. Ova uloga je rezervisana samo za timove koji su u datom trenutku najnapredniji u tehničkom i umetničkom smislu i poseduju najbolji odnos brzine u produkciji i kvaliteta finalnog proizvoda. 3Lateral je bio odgovoran za produkcijiski pipeline i sisteme za animaciju lica za sve karaktere u igri.

Ryse je odličan dokaz spajanja filmske i igračke industrije jer smo u produkciji mogli videti mnoge stručnjake iz poznatih studija poput ILM-a i WETA-e, široj javnosti, manje poznate ali veoma značajne naučnike koji su svoje egzotične tehnike uspeli da primene na ovaj projekat i time doprinesu uverljivosti priče.

3Lateral će 18. Marta  zajedno sa timom iz Crytek-a predstaviti svoju tehnologiju na GDC sajmu u San Francisku i podeliti detalje produkcije na ovom naslovu koji pomera vizuelne standarde u igrama.

3Lateral studio is dedicated to well-designed characters and technical innovation which steered them to develop excellent working relationship with a company which developed it’s identity on same principles. Company in questions is well known game and game engine developer, Crytek.

Crytek assigned 3Lateral with the most important task of rigging a character- rigging the face. To make things even more important for studio from Novi Sad, this task was assigned on one of the first games which were released for next generation of game consoles- Ryse, Son Of Rome. This task is reserved only for teams which, in given moment, are the most advanced in technical and artistic sense and have the best ratio of speed and reliability in production and final output. 3Lateral was responsible for production pipeline for face rigging and face rigs of all characters in the game.

Ryse is an excellent example of merging of film and gaming industry as in production we could have seen experts from well known studios like ILM and WETA and, to wider public unknown but very significant, scientists and experts who managed to apply their exotic methods to this project and add to the believability of the story.

3Lateral will, together with team from Crytek, present it’s technology at GDC in San Francisco on the 18th of March and share details of production of this title which raises the bar for visual standards in games.
