Listed below is part of the programme focused on film and animation.

Sava Živković: How filmmaking in Unreal Engine has set me free (live lecture, Sept. 3rd)

In this talk Sava will be breaking down the process behind the making of his latest short film Irradiation, utilizing Unreal Engine. The lecture will focus on the many different benefits offered by real-time workflows, and how said workflows have liberated his creative process.

Discussion panel: Opportunities for Animation in Unreal Engine (online panel, Sept 4th)

In 2021, the CGA team, led by the Crater Training Center and leading animation schools in Europe, participated in a free pan-Europe educational program for animators in Unreal Engine organized by Escape Studios (UK) in cooperation with Epic Games. CGA Novi Sad will, therefore, host the discussion panel on opportunities for animation in Unreal Engine moderated by Mark Flanagan, Epic Games’ education partner. Joining him on the virtual stage (so far) are Andrew Brassington from Escape Studios, Tom Box, Blue-Zoo Animation co-founder, and Draško Ivezić of Adriatic Animation.

Clement Gharini: Virtual Filmmaking (online lecture, Sept. 4th)

After a 10 years long career as a camera operator, hailing from the set of Harry Potter, Clement turned to visual effects, he thought he was decisively stepping into the future of filmmaking. Today, another decade later he realises that VFX will only be remembered as a very transient, hybrid and fugitive moment in the history of the film industry. That’s because the future of filmmaking is in fact fully virtual.

CGA Novi Sad is an off-event organized by CGA Belgrade, a platform created by Serbia Film Commission, Crater Training Center and VFX Serbia.
