Schism Worldwide is looking for an experienced candidate to hire as the 3D Artist at our Belgrade studio. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record and at least 5 years of working experience in modeling, texturing, rigging and animating CG assets along with strong artistic skills. He should be well organized and able to create both high and low poly CG assets from concept art, and tweak and improve existing assets used in Schism’s products. A solid grasp of form, color, and light for both 2D and 3D art assets is essential.

Job Description

  • Create 3D assets for games as well as game concepts
  • Tweak and improve existing 3D assets
  • Create 3D models in both low- and high-polygon counts, depending on the project
  • Create textures for models using AOV passes such as diffuse, specular and normal maps, and ability to create good UV layout distribution to maximize quality
  • Understand the art direction and contribute to it yourself in a highly collaborative agile environment
  • Help with implementation of 3D assets using shaders and commercial or custom real-time lighting solutions for models to be used both in games and in cinematics
  • Create assets used for art direction and gameplay prototypes
  • Work directly with the programming and art director in the implementation process to ensure optimal use of polygons, shaders and textures.

Candidate Requirements

  • 5+ years relevant work experience including a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a 3D Artist in VFX and/or gaming industry targeting multiple platforms
  • High level of proficiency in production Maya, XSI, 3DS used to create and animate fun and stylized characters and assets
  • Understanding of animation principles and foundations
  • High Photoshop proficiency
  • Knowledge of Substance Painter and/or compatible texture creating software
  • Experience running P&Ls and operating budgets for a game studio
  • General understanding of Unity3D game engine
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with a team of other artists and programmers
  • Actively participate and offer creative solutions to both art and game design challenges
  • Ability to work off of concept sketches and to produce your own concept art and quick concept edits to communicate artistic vision
  • Genuine enthusiasm for gaming and making games in all genres
    Understanding of a wide spectrum of game genres
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Fluent use of Serbian and English language, fluency in a 3rd or 4th major language is a major plus

Major pluses

  • Previous experience in developing titles for games utilizing game engines such as Unity3D, Unreal or similar packages
  • Previous experience in Arts & Design
  • BFA, BS, MFA, MS or similar fine arts or 3D graphics / science related field degree
  • EU or US passport

Schism Worldwide is looking for Unity3D  developer with 5+ years of game development experience, who can build games for various target platforms based on the Unity framework at our Belgrade studio. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record and at least 5 years of working experience in Unity3D based game development.  A solid grasp of form, color, and light for both 2D and 3D art assets is essential.

Job Description

  • Implement game functionality as per communicated design
  • Translate design specification into functional game
  • Communicate with other team members to establish effective pipeline and integrate media assets· Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address and mitigate these problems· Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

Candidate Requirements

  • 5+ years relevant work experience including a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Unity3D developer in gaming industry targeting multiple platforms
  • Excellent knowledge of Unity, including experience with scripting, textures, animation, GUI styles, and user session management
  • Familiarity with level design and planning
  • Experience with game physics and particle systems
  • Experience with PC, Mac and mobile developmenet. Console development a huge plus!
  • Experience optimizing memory and space usage for support of older hardware
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Familiarity with current design and architectural patterns

GAME PRODUCER — BELGRADE, SERBIA — ON-SITE

The successful candidate will have an outstanding blend of creative, technical, innovative and managerial experience in developing games for PC, Mac and mobile devices. As our producer you will be responsible for moving the Schism business forward, managing the team and building profitable games reflecting our company mission – excellence and uniqueness in game design.

Key responsibilities include

  • Own and drive the vision for the business around multiple games, balancing the Business, Design and management perspectives to deliver an optimal balance of creative design and science into game development from the earliest stages of product life-cycle
  • Work on establishing and enacting a Scrum agile work environment principles, understand and harness the strengths of team members and fill the role of the Scrum Master
