For its long-term relationship client Impact BBDO Dubai, Open Studio did full production for massive Etisalat Visitor Line online campaign. Etisalat, leading telecom group in UAE and region, launched this camping to attract Dubai and Abu Dhabi visitors to buy their SIM card with promotions.
Director Zoran Krstic with his “virtual trip” treatment won the pitch, and uplifted simple stop motion agency’s idea to higher level.
Whole campaign includes 26 films, video banners, and still prints. Apart from main English video, there were 5 tactical spots, each to be done for 5 different nationalities, meaning 5 different cast for one film.
It was shot in Avala Studios in Belgrade, with talented young D.O.P. Miksa Andjelic, and with Serbian cast even for Saudi films.
In order to make such big production possible in 3 days shooting, Open studio team invented their own technique to make fast running stop motion shooting with Alexa, instead of traditional photo camera way. Key person to make it happen on set was one of the best domestic AD (assistant director) Nikola Dzoni Ivanovic.
With picky client, so many versions and specially speech bubbles in 5 different languages postproduction took a while, and most of the spots are waiting autumn season in UAE to be online.
